About Us

1. loving-kindness, friendliness and benevolence.

2. a warm-hearted feeling of fellowship, sympathy and love, which grows boundless with practice and overcomes all social, religious, political and racial barriers.

Our purpose is to provide our residents with high quality, personalized care in a safe and happy environment.

We are dedicated to providing the best environment for our residents. Our staff and medical team share a passion for nurturing others and have been trained to provide a high quality of care.

Relationships are important to us. Our communities foster a friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment so that residents and staff feel like they are part of a family.

We want to empower our residents to continue living life to the fullest. Through the EmpowerLife program, residents have access to physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual activities.

We want to plan for today and be prepared for tomorrow. Innovation allows us to provide the best programs, services, and facilities to meet the needs of today’s residents. Some of our innovations include our:

Art focused on abstract pictures that evoke memories of nature and childhood, through the use of a strong colour palette. This helps residents feel youthful and cope with memory conditions.

Montessori Care that encompasses all of our activities and programs. This results in greater engagement of the senses and positive emotions. One great example of implementing Montessori Care in our homes is the Music Project. Overwhelming evidence suggests that residents have an improvement in their quality of life as they listen to familiarized music on a personalized playlist. For more information about this project, please visit Alzheimer Toronto's Music Project.

Pet Therapy that reduces anxiety and stress, encourages communication, improves mood and lowers blood pressure.

Aquatic Program that features an aquarium near the dining room at Greenview Residence whose colours, motion and sounds encourage healthy eating. Thanks to this, seniors suffering from dementia show an increase in healthy body weight and require fewer nutritional supplements. Our reef aquarium stimulates interaction between elderly residents and employees, as they make their way into our dining hall.
